You are absolutely correct in telling adults who have kids in their lives to give those kids words of encouragement. We can pray for a balance; however, kids care about what other kids think of them! If another kid is bullying them at school, it seems adult words of encouragement get over shadowed by the words of their peers. As my grandson told me, when he was being bullied "Grandma, you know that poem that sticks and stone can break your bones, but words never hurt? Well, THAT IS NOT TRUE". He figured that out in the 2nd grade. Keep up your great work Judy, help us adults to help our kids.

Judy,

I love the following two phrases you have used.

"Teachers Enhance What Parents Have Taught"

"No Need To Be A Teacher To Teach"

They are so true and relevant. However, the first can only happen if the parents are able to play their part.

Regards

Auntie, Great info. Yes, we all did get over being shy and timid, so it is doable. And sometimes people mistake excitement for anxiety. It's all what we tell ourselves, isn't it?

Deb, I'll bet you are an introvert. That just means you like your own company! :) I do the same and so do lots of big names who spend their days sharing information.

So true, Judy. It always amazes me when I find that when I am at work and interacting, there is no shyness whatsoever. However, sometimes social situations can be very different, and I find myself to be more shy. I'll bet that's not uncommon, huh?

"But then..." Yes, I like that very much. I'm sticking it on my monitor so when someone complains to me I will be able to remember to suggest, "But then..." Thank you, Judy, for helping people turn horrible into happy!
